The Role

Reports to: CFO

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, improving processes, solving people challenges, and creating an exceptional employee experience.

You will own the day-to-day execution of EightPM’s People Operations function across our U.S., U.K., and Singapore teams. You’ll oversee recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee lifecycle processes, HR administration, employee relations, performance management, benefits, HR systems, compliance, and workplace operations while managing and developing members of our People & Workplace team.

You’ll partner closely with leadership to continuously improve our people practices and support managers and employees as the company grows. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both building scalable processes and rolling up their sleeves to execute. We’re a lean team, so you’ll have ownership and support around you while still being comfortable jumping in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

People Operations

  • Own recruiting operations and continuously improve the candidate experience
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding across all offices
  • Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation
  • Own employee records and HRIS administration (Deel)
  • Coordinate benefits administration and employee lifecycle changes
  • Support performance review cycles and employee development initiatives
  • Partner with leadership and managers on employee relations, performance matters, and other People needs
  • Coordinate HR compliance requirements across the U.S., U.K., and Singapore in partnership with external providers and internal leadership

Workplace Experience

  • Own the overall workplace experience across all EightPM offices, ensuring each office remains professional, organized, welcoming, and aligned with our culture
  • Oversee workplace operations, including office standards, facilities, vendors, supplies, budgets, and day-to-day office execution
  • Lead the planning and execution of company meetings, office events, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Continuously evaluate and improve workplace systems, processes, and operational efficiency to support a growing global team

Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, coach, develop, and manage members of the People & Workplace team through ongoing feedback, guidance, and professional development
  • Establish team priorities, delegate responsibilities, and ensure high-quality execution
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and high-performance team culture
  • Support managers throughout the company with people processes and employee development

Business Operations

  • Partner with Finance on payroll administration, employee changes, and benefits administration
  • Support leadership with operational projects and company initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal systems, workflows, and processes
  • Collaborate across all departments to support business operations and organizational growth
  • Assist C-level executives with strategic projects and operational initiatives, as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related People function, with broad hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR
  • Experience in HR or People Operations within an advertising agency, media, entertainment, marketing, communications, or other fast-paced, client-service environment is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience managing or directly supervising employees, including coaching performance and supporting professional development
  • Experience across recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, employee relations, and performance management
  • Experience improving processes and building scalable systems
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments and leadership teams
  • Comfortable with HRIS platforms (Deel preferred), Google Workspace, Slack, Monday.com, and other business systems
  • Experience supporting multiple offices or distributed teams is preferred
  • International HR or multi-country experience is a plus, but not required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable access to a personal vehicle for occasional work-related errands, with mileage reimbursed in accordance with company policy
  • Must be able to pass a standard employment background check
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future sponsorship
  • Proactive mindset: you identify opportunities, take ownership, and continuously look for ways to improve the business
